We really like the Green Nephrology event as it fits well with our aims and objectives to stimulate a greener more sustainable dialysis industry.  We will be attending and look forward to reporting back to the blog. Event is on 24 September 2010, in Birmingham, UK.  Event is aponsored by Association of renal industries  and NHS Kidney Care.

  • How can kidney care be made greener and better?
  • What IS a carbon footprint?
  • What do patients think about it all?
  • And finally... what has that Green Nephrology Fellow been getting up to all year?

Hi I'm Katy and I run Global Dialysis with Russell England. I am a trained nurse and used to work on the renal transplant unit at St Bartholomew's Hospital.  I've worked in the healthcare world for over 25 years and love it! I enjoy helping people get the right information and the right care and campaign for the needs of patients, their carers and centre staff. I'm passionate about making Global Dialysis the best it can possibly be for dialysis users and their carers across the globe.  I met Russ a few years, actually just by chance, and am so delighted to be working with him here!  I have a son, William (9) and two Jack Russels - Harry and Potter and I enjoy my family, long walks in the countryside and marathon running!
