I visited last Year this Dialyse Unit. The only Language they spoke was english,enough to understand us.Nurse were very friendly and helpfull. Its clean and modern dialyse unit.
In nearer time i will go back there.

I have been to Asklipios clinic on 3 separate occasions. The staff are efficient & very pleasant and the unit is coll, clean & comfortable. The only problem you may find is finding a parking space!

I visited Crete in May 2003 and had 5 sessions at the Asklipios Clinic in Rethymno. The unit is modern and the staff were helpful, friendly and efficient. I had no problems at all with the dialysis. We stayed in a village called Bali about 30km east of Rethymno, (less than an hours drive). Parking was easy enough; the clinic is less than 5 minutes walk from the town's main car park. For a partner who would rather see the sights than hang around a hospital, try <> at 55 Souliou, in the old town. Great breakfasts! Crete is a beautiful place and well worth a visit.

I went to this unit in August 2001. I had been on dialysis for only 6 months and was very nervous. However, the staff were very nice. They do not seem to speak much English, but they were very efficient. I got a cheese and ham toastie mid-morning! We stayed at the Hotel El Greco, about 7km from Rethymnon. It was about 10 euros in the taxi to get there and we got the bus back as it was much easier than waiting for a taxi. Tickets can be got from certain shops or from your hotel before you go. Crete is a lovely place, and I would not hesitate to go again.
