Instituto de Nefrología “Dr. Abenardo Buch López”, Cuba "I had 2 hemodialysis sessions at Instituto de Nefrologia in Havana on March 20&22nd 2012. I got a private very clean room with full time nurse and a doctor visted 2 times each session. The dialysis machine was modern Fresenius Medical Care 4008S. good quality needles (2),tubings and tapings. The other procedures were close to my dialysis center in Mississauga Toronto. The cost was CUC 100.00 (Canadian $108.00)per session. I got a proper receipt." Alfredo58 26 March 2012

Fresenius Medical Care (NA) Culver City "This morning I received dialysis at FMC Culver city. I was there at 4.20 in the morning and was very well taken care of. The treatment was 4 hours and the staff that attended me were very professional. They also helped me to find another FMC center for my next treatment in two days. I can recommend FMC Culver City." Davita Crescent Heights, Los angeles  "We came from Canada to visit LA in the spring of 2011. Since my husband is on home hemo, which allows him to eat almost anything and, overall, feel healthy, the chance to have nocturnal dialysis was a huge benefit. The first night he arrived to discover that what the unit offers is barebones; no blanket, pillow, or snacks. But they did supply the most important necessity; clean treatment in the hands of competent professionals. The second night, he came prepared with a blanket, pillow and sleep mask. The only thing missing was ear plugs. To cap it off, there are interesting diners open all night where you can get a hearty breakfast before 7 am, which is where we met there to begin our days. If nocturnal dialysis was offered in other countries it would open up a world of travel. Portable units, that enable patients to do home hemo on the road, are not yet available where we are located." Caribbean Dialysis, Barbados
Just got back after 5 sessions at the Caribbean Dialysis Barbados Inc. I kept in touch with Prof Nickolson with my hospital before arriving for treatment. My wife and myself were made very welcome by all the staff. This was my first time at the centre not to Barbados, and we will return.
